I recently had an upper EGD with Dr. Lunt and it was such a very positive experience! I just wanna say “thank you” to the receptionist and to all of the medical staff who took care of me on that day. They made me feel comfortable and helped me not to feel nervous about the procedure. I highly recommend this office for they take good care of their patients with much respect and understanding. I was scheduled an appointment for an endoscopy on a Thursday. I asked if I was to owe anything the day of the procedure. The lady at the front desk said I shouldn't have to worry about it if they haven't contacted me about it. Then comes Monday (less than a full business day before my appointment) and they called to tell me it was 1500 dollars that I had to pay the next day. No options for a payment plan. I was able to scrounge up half the night before the procedure. They weren't very compassionate or helpful. Just said that I could reschedule. Other places offer help for a payment plan so I will be giving my money to an office that is a bit more understanding.

It is very difficult with the way American medical practices are setup to get anything done very fast. I've been diagnosed for a year and a half with gluten intolerance. I've had little realistic help from the medical community in dealing with it. Offices don't coordinate, no one seems to know how to handle a condition that about four percent of the population have. I have done lots of reading on the allergy and have gotten little help from the medical community. Yet, they send huge bills to my insurance. And, I'm no better than when this whole thing started.
