Dr Korzenik is a good man, after having to let my two previous GI doctors go for lack of compassion, empathy, and just a general willingness to listen. With Dr. Josh, I’m listened to with empathy and compassion, although not always heard, this is absolutely my biggest gripe, so long as I’m able to ask the right questions he answers clearly however. He has an actual surgical unit that he works with that are also very good, as a result after watching my health deteriorate because of arrogant doctors that knew it all and refused to listen to me over 2-3 years I switched to Dr. Korzenik. With Dr Korzenik I felt like I had a great doctor. They all have their faults just as I have mine. Make sure you are heard when dealing with doctors otherwise the situation just gets worse.
I would recommend this doctor.

I have had such great experience with doctor Korzenik! He's not only a great medical Dr, who knows his stuff and is right on target. Josh has been my gastro doctor for about 15 years and he almost always runs late in his appointments because he takes the time needed with each patient so I don't mind waiting since I know he will take time with me. He is open to all questions and viewpoints and has thoughtful answers. I was most impressed when he called me about 9 PM once to answer a question.

I have had Crohn's for many years and have met a lot of GI doctors. I am very familiar with all kinds of treatments. When my son developed Crohns and struggled to control it we stumbled from doctor to doctor until we met Korzenik. He is doing well now, but that is not why I am writing this review. I am writing it because Dr Korzenic has all the other attributes besides high intelligence that doctors need to be successful.
He is pleasant and reasonable. He is readily reachable and responsible. Most importantly he is open minded to new treatments. While one would hope that all doctors have these attributes, sadly very few do.
