I went to Lahey Gastroenterology recently & was impressed with how thorough everyone was. The nursing staff is amazing there. I went in nervous and they helped put me at ease. The team are great at what they do. Dr. Burns was the doctor who did my procedure & there's a reason he's been in the field for as long as he was very informative & a complete professional. The team made a difficult situation seem easy. If I ever need my esophagus scoped again I'll know that I'm in great hands.

Dr. Lonshteyn of North Shore G.I. recently performed a colonoscopy on me at Beverly Hospital, Beverly, MA She and every individual I encountered during that experience were informative, warm and tender while assuring their expertise while performing each task. Every concern and question was answered without rush and they made the experience stress-free. I am quite appreciative. All hospitals should follow their lead.

MARINA JABONILLO BSN, RN. I've had trusting relationship with nurses, secretaries, n mostly Dr Lonshteyn. My mom passed of colon cancer, n I have g.i. problems, so when things change, n she needs better outcome, they do the scheduling, for you..hospital great staff including my team Dr. LONSHTEYN, DR. LINDSEY, 2 MELISSA'S, N 2 LINDSEY'S AND ALSO THE MALE ANESTHESIOLOGIST BRENDAN. I hope I didn't leave any1 out, as with anesthesia I am more forgetful than usual. All very knowledgeable in their fields, even the nurse who tried my I V. And succeeded. Before I V therapy arrived. She wasn't one of my nurses, but, she knew exactly what she was doing. Being dehydrated from prep, makes the veins tiny n hide easily. Thank you all November 19th early afternoon staff who cared for me, from the quietest girl that afternoon w/ larenjectomy in my neck. The website says quick appointments. I just called Burlington Lahey (August 19). and got an appointment January 9th. This is ridiculous. I have symptoms that I hope can wait that long.

The entire team on Friday, Jan 5, 2024, at 2pm, from check-in to recovery, was seamless. Every step of the procedure was discussed, and I was asked if I had any questions or concerns. The team was able to accommodate my procedure with the proper anesthesia so I would not experience my usual post-procedure nausea and vomiting.
* I recommend you place your request for the appropriate anesthetic to your doctor at least a week in advance if you suffer from post-procedure vomiting.*
I felt NOTHING during my colonoscopy and had absolutely NO NAUSEA, including hours later. The very kind recovery nurse even brought me some gingerale and peanut butter crackers without my asking for anything. She couldn't have made me happier!
The Gastroenterology team at Lahey/Beth Israel in Burlington is wonderful.
