I went to Dr. Patel because I was having some serious stomach issues. I didn’t have insurance at the time so I was a cash paying customer when I came in. He barely gave me any of his time. He didn’t listen to me. I didn’t get to explain everything that was going on, he pretty much was ignoring me he spent maybe 10 minutes in the room which I know for a fact, there’s no way you can learn about a patient or any of the concerns that the patient has. I didn’t even have a chance to ask questions or explain anything so I was set up for my appointment went to my colonoscopy , I will say this his nurse is a wonderful kind person to bad She works for him. She was the one that gave me most of my information .He is very rude and you have to feel comfortable with your doctor. I will never return there and the money that I paid. I should’ve gotten a lot more than 10 minutes of his time.zero star for him

Terrible! I had a phone consult with Dr Patel. He scheduled my surgery and medication prior to my surgery. Two weeks later and the day prior to my surgery and after taking my medication they call me and say they didn’t get the referral approval from my insurance company. Turns out they sent the referral out two working days before my surgery. Front desk extremely rude. Zero compassion and rude. I will never go there again

Dr. Patel and his team were very professional during the appointment and procedure. The issue arose with billing and even though they do not do their own billing the office tended to give me the run so I had to stay on top of them to find a resolution. The procedure was done in 05/2023 and in January of 2024 I received a bill. I did call the office and was directed to the billing office over the course of months I explained to both parties this was paid with Medicaid and should not owe a bill because they accepted Medicaid. I called and talked To Camilia and she then talked to Zarna (Dr. Patel's wife the office director) and informed me that the anesthesiologist was not in network with Medicaid. (When there is an issue they do not allow you to talk to Zarna they do all this back and forth calling to relay messages which was a major inconvenience.) I explained that I was never informed of this and they agreed to change the charge from $250.00 to $150.00. I then called Medicaid and they called Dr. Patel's office and were directed to the billing department and Medicaid told them as well as myself that the reason the anesthesiologist was not covered was because the doctors office did not get prior authorization therefore it was not my fault. Finally, on 04/2024 I received a call from Tiffany the office manager over the surgery side of the doctor's office to let me know that they would not hold me accountable for the bill. I had to go back and forth for almost a year (4 months after finally receiving a bill to get them to admit their fault and quit sending me a bill.) I want others to know so they do not get stuck owing a bill due to the neglect of the office because it was a frustrating situation.

I love Dr. Patel but if you over pay don’t expect a refund any time soon. They make you do all the leg work between the office and the billing office. I’ve had a credit with them since November 2022 and it’s now January 2024 and still no refund. They called today to tell me how much my part of a procedure will be for Wednesday the 24th and I told them to apply the credit that I can’t seem to get back. I’m still having to pay over $300 even after the credit and my insurance. It’s ridiculous. I’ve been back and forth with them since the beginning of December 2023 when I found out I had this credit. Get new billing people off the ones you have can’t be efficient.

This place is is horrible. Have used this place 4 times and each time is worse than the last. Disorganized, incapable of keeping to a schedule, will say they "tried" to contact you, when they didn't. Any time after 9am expect to wait at least 2 hours after your scheduled time to go back to a room. Do yourself a favor and find someplace else.
