Decided to pop here for a quick lunch after one of my spa treatments downstairs at Nightingale Place and I was met with very quick service and a yummy three course meal from their set menu. All for the price of £21.

Starter: Breaded Scampi with tartar sauce.
Main: Lamb Casserole.
Dessert: Honeycomb Ice Cream.

So yummy!

Delicious food in a really great spot! It was slightly chilly when the sun disappeared so the staff brought out blankets and hot water bottles for us. Desert was exceptionally tasty.

A really delicious chicken burger and chips - the chicken itself wasn’t deep fried, battered or breaded which made a really nice change. The chicken was cooked spot on and came with a (mildly) spicy relish in the bun which was super tasty. Will definitely be back!

Came here for a Mother’s Day lunch and overall mediocre at best. 1st impressions weren’t as staff didn’t not greet upon arrival. Told only 1 starter out of 3 on set menu is available, few other mains also not available.

Service was a mixed bag- young waiter who sat us down I’m assuming (hoping) was new as he never knew what beers they had on tap, said he ordered me a pint of peroni then gave me a bottle and shrugged when my wife asked for a soft drinks menu.

Young lady who took our food order was excellent on the other hand, attentive friendly and served with a smile. And the older gentleman who looked like a manager was also great.

Food itself was good- really good quality of food especially for the set menu price. The sirloin was very good.

The main room for improvement is definitely the lack of atmosphere felt like I was dining in a sports hall- maybe some background music would work.

I don't normally like to leave negative reviews because I don't like spreading negative vibes but this place seriously needs to raise its game. Service was terrible, no menus until we asked and barely a smile from anyone. Had to wait nearly an hour for food, and it was not worth the wait. Poached egg was over cooked, and the food was cold. We cancelled the other order, which was then not taken off the bill originally. The atmosphere was non-existent. Maybe at the weekends things are better, but we were drawn in by the lovely facade and regretted our decision. One plus point is the cakes were decent.

We hosted our daughter’s first birthday party here and everything was absolutely perfect. The food was delicious and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating and lovely. Thank you for a wonderful lunch!

Do not book this for bottomless brunch. We arrived, no record of our booking, had to ask for refills constantly. When it came to the bill we were charged for one extra person because the kitchen made food for 10 (when 9 of us were seated) and also charged us more than stated on the website. We had to ask to be charged the correct amount after showing their website showed a different cost to what they billed. No apology throughout.
