I have seen Dr. Osowo since 2016 off and on. In 2016 I had a Colonoscopy and endoscopy at age 20 in which they removed a polyp. When I received a phone call from the nurse after that procedure I was told it was normal and no follow up was needed. I had an appt with Dr. Osowo a few months ago for some symptoms I am having and was told I should've had a colonscopy 5 years after my last one due to the polyp that was removed being pre cancerous. Never was I told that in 2016. Here I am 8 years later learning this news. I scheduled my colonscopy and endoscopy for the surgery center the first time, then they had to reschedule it because Dr. Osowo had something else come up. It comes to the day of my procedure and the surgery center calls me to cancel because of my heart history, but quite confusing because they did procedure in 2016 with the same heart condition and heart clearance from my cardiologist. I was told it could only be done at methodist Southlake. I waited a week for the nurse to call me to schedule then back and forth that took days with still no scheduling so I decided to find a new doctor. I am praying everything is OK with myself after all of this it truly is scary when dealing with health issues and I feel like I've been failed by your office. I do believe Dr. Osowo is a great dr, but the office and policies surrounding are absolutely ridiculous. Like the cancel or reschedule 4 times they will drop you. I have work a toddler and a family things come up as I'm sure they do with the doctors just like dr. Osowo having to reschedule my procedure the first time. Some of the front desk and manager do not act friendly or compassionate either.

This doctor is terrible. Waited over an hour for a scheduled appointment that I was on time for.

They encourage you to use the app for communication, but Dr. Zafar literally never responds. If you call them to try and get an answer over the phone, or ask when she’ll get back to you, they say the same things; “I can’t tell you what’s on your chart, the doctor has to do that.” “The message has already been sent to the doctor and marked as important, so she should be getting back to you as soon as possible.” Apparently these things mean a minimum wait of two weeks when they specifically say it takes 48-72 hours for correspondence. It’s been two weeks now, and the office staff can’t even tell me why I haven’t heard back yet, or why Dr. Zafar isn’t checking her messages or responding, especially when I’ve called about it on 5 separate occasions and days.

Not only that, but my follow-up appointment itself consisted of Dr. Zafar berating my other doctors for giving me incorrect information about my medicine regiment, while simultaneously saying I shouldn’t be having any problems with my medicines conflicting with each other. My thyroid is almost completely dead, and I have to prioritize that medication and PPIs are KNOWN to keep thyroid medicine from being absorbed in the stomach, even when taken at opposite ends of the day. But she genuinely raised her voice at me and told me it was absolutely unacceptable to change the way I’m taking my medications even though the way I’m taking them has been helping me. Then in the same breath, she declared I had to listen to her because she’s the specialist and I need to talk to my other doctors and change any medicine problems with them. I’VE ALREADY DONE THAT, THAT’S WHY IM ON THE SCHEDULE I’M ON, but she didn’t know what to say to that.

I’m sorry, but when you have questions concerning a serious cancer condition because your biopsy report online says you don’t have it, but the doctor told you in person that you do, the doctor needs to communicate. We’re considering taking legal action at this point because either the report for my procedure is a lie, or the doctor is lying to me. Either way it’s bad, I highly do NOT recommend this office.

As an added bonus on your bingo card; they send several emails, text messages, and phone calls to remind you and confirm an appointment leading up to it, even if you opt out of it. They pester and spam you until you actually need help, and then they’re silent and uncaring.

I wish I could give them zero. Appointment staff was very rude and showed no compassion. I was scheduled for a surgery but I had to cancel because I was told I must have someone to pick me up after the surgery and I did not have anyone available. I tried calling days before my appointment to cancel but no one picked up the calls. Finally a little over 24 hours before surgery I called and left a message canceling the appointment because nobody picked up the call as usual. Two days later I received a call from someone from their office telling me I was a no show and they will not reschedule until I paid $75 for no show. I informed her my attempts to cancel and that I left them cancellation notice when they didn’t answer my calls at least a little over 24 hours in advance. She said the rule is 72 hours notice. I told her nobody had told me anything about 72 hours advance notice but she did not care. I tried to plead my case but I got nowhere. Days later I received a bill for $100 for no show. I will definitely not go back to these people.

I had to go to the ER just before the holidays and was told I need to have my colonoscopy done asap. Everywhere I tried, the wait was at least a month. Thank you so much Dr. Zafar for your kindness and support to get me in. My initial visit with the nurse practitioner Sydney Nichols was great, she made me feel very comfortable, addressed all of my questions and concerns. I got my colonoscopy done the next day with Dr.Osowo who is every kind and knowledgeable. My experience with the entire staff from the front to back was amazing! Thank you again for all your help!

I have been with this Dr. for several years now. I have never been happy with this practice!

They don't follow-up with important test results!
Dr. Kamran's advice to me of continuing to get a colonoscopy, every 5 years, irregardless of the fact that my mother passed away from colon cancer at the age of 58 and that on my 1st colonscopy, they did remove several pre-cancerous polyps is unacceptable!
They also have overcharged both me and my husband on co-pays (almost double the amount) in all but 1 of our visits in 2023.
I recently learned that my HSA card was charged over $200 without our knowledge which ended up getting our card suspended.
Mediorcre service and suspicious billing practices = I will no longer be a patient.
Be careful of this practice folks...something doesn't smell right here!

Hello I had an appointment today with Dr. Osowo assistant Sydney Nichols, well that didn’t happen I should say after the practice called twice to cancel my appointment and to only reschedule me with the assistant she doesn’t show up after an hour and 10 minutes and had the never to ask me to stay another 20/30 minutes so they could finish eating. This is not how Dr Osowo, would have done anyone and I can’t say I will be back as the canceling of appointments happen to me last year and too. If you can’t see the main doctor do go here.

I spent ALL of 2023 trying to diagnose my gastro problems. I initially saw a doctor I had gone to in the past. He tried to prescribe meds, ordered a CT--of course nothing showed. Chronic abdominal pain persisted and exacerbated. I decided I HAD to see someone else. I called probably a dozen providers who stated I had to have a referral from current GI or PCP, which I thought was ridiculous: I am a healthcare professional myself, I don't need a referral from anyone when I know I have a chronic issue! I was so desperate I was willing to travel anywhere in the area to see someone. That's how bad it was! After a dozen "no's", GPA was able to get me scheduled within a week or so! With a woman of color, Dr. Zafar. Yes, the initial wait was rather long, but, I was out of options! She was sensitive to my concerns even though the physical exam offered no solutions/diagnoses (it never did), offered to do a colonoscopy. The previous GI NEVER provided this option out of the three times I had seen him. I was nervous about it, but decided it needed to happen. Well, upon awakening from the procedure, they informed me they found a polyp--luckily they were able to remove it! That other GI had almost sentenced me to death! If you want quality care (no matter how long you have to wait) I say just do it. When it's a matter of life and death, we really have to outweigh the cons here. And I am very thankful for Dr. Zafar. Cause these other docs do not know how to follow proper treatment protocol!
