AdventHealth Medical Group Gastroenterology at Castle Rock

I do not recommend this group. I went in for a screening colonoscopy and I'm getting a large bill because the coding is incorrect. It has been months and multiple phone calls and they still won't correct the problem. It's not worth the headache.

First of all I'd like to say that any's doctor's office isn't beneficial without a friendly, helpful staff. I was very impressed with the people I talked to on the phone and because it was a phone appointment, it worked out very conveniently for me with Dr. Welton. He came across to me as very knowledgeable and compassionate even though he had never met me. He offered me some suggestions to improve my comfort and health and was very helpful in trying to find a new PCP.

My appointment was virtual but it all worked very smoothly. Just clicking on her invitation to join her was much easier than many virtual systems. Dr Chin always listens well and interacts very well, although better in person due to the delay in the virtual appointment.

Avoid seeing Dr. Ramachandran. She was very rude to me twice, after two colonoscopies. In addition, she said that I should have a bleeding hemarroid banded and did not mention it could get much worse nor did she say I should schedule something soon nor did the office follow up. Because I was no longer comfortable with her care due to her rudeness, when I did call to have the issue addressed I requested to see a other doctor within the practice ( Dr. Chun) and was told that I could not switch providers. The receptionist mentioned that it was office policy and I could request again through the office supervisor. Well, two messages later and the supervisor NEVEr called us back. Now, I need full surgery for something that could have been prevented had Dr. Ramachandran followed up appropriately. My new doctor is stunned that she let this progress. They have definitely lost my business due to her rudeness and neglect and lack of follow through on the part of the office.

I have meet Dr Welton once. I had switched astrologists Doctor after several year with the other office. I moved to a closer office plus I thought a better front office staff. Unfortunately, my experience with the front staff at returning calls has been quite a challenge for me. I missed their call once and I have left for voice messages and have tried numerous other attempts to reach the front desk people via their phone number, however at no avail. It’s is hard to plan treatments or procedures if no one returns their messages or answers the phone. Luck with any attempt at reaching a person to speak with. The only person I’ve ever been able to reach is the on-call doctor at the 719 area code….sad to say. Least it was someone.

The front end staff and MAs were great. However… Dr. Welton has horrible bed side manner and made inappropriate comments throughout the exam. Dr. Welton has a “one size fits all” treatment mindset and refuses to listen to the patient and consider other providers recommendations. Dr. Welton is very dismissive and invalidating. Ever since the first appointment, I knew That Dr. Welton fit the stereotypical MD who doesn’t listen to his patients. I will NEVER recommend him.

Dr. Chapman is an awesome provider and I would highly recommend! His staff is super friendly and from start to finish it was a great experience.

Front office staff was very rude. I called to make an appointment and arrived at my appointment time 2:30. The front office told me that they couldn’t see me because I was late and I was supposed to arrive at 2:15. I told them that I was told that I was supposed to arrive at 2:30. They did nothing and turned me away. I have never been treated this rudely by office staff. I do not recommend going to Castle Rock GI
