Good ice cream, not great service.
Considering that this is an ice cream shop and is supposed to be "fun" the worker did not seem excited at all. Not quite friendly either. I wish I could rank this higher, but the entire time she just unfortunately seemed sour.
Their window hugely advertised "free samples," however every time we asked for one, she did not look like she was having it.
The ice cream is relatively expensive ($6 a scoop)
and the service was not as great as we'd like.

If you decide to visit this shop, expect to be met with horrible customer service. They wont allow you to have free samples of the ice cream even when they have a huge sign outside that says they do free samples. And the lady that works there just has very poor attitude. No customer service skills at all. Being in the heart of a huge tourist attraction town you’d expect her to be very friendly so that her business could thrive. Save yourselves the headache and go to a different ice cream shop!

The lady was outrightly rude and arrogant to us. We were in a large group of 8-10 people with 3 kids (all asians) and the shop was completely empty, there were No other guests in the shop. The sign at the entrance said - "Free Ice cream tasting". Kids got excited and asked for samples for 2 flavors. She outrightly rejected saying only 1 sample per person because she is very busy and cant serve more than 1 sample per child. We ended up buying 3 cones (single scoop) for ~$20 odd - nothing special about the taste/flavor etc. When we wanted to share our ice-creams and asked for few plastic spoons, she said 1 spoon per ice-cream purchased. I should have gone to some other non-busier place for ice-cream. Bad experience, will never go back.

Average ice cream. Scoops Average.. the lady was not happy to be working. I would have given 5 stars, but this day and age for a store to charge an extra fee for using a credit card is ridiculous.

I went here on the Fourth of July. The patriotism of Denmark and America collided in my veins. I had to go to solvang. Then I decided in Solvang as the day was hot and long tourists buzzing around I decided I needed a creamy treat. Yes. I was recently diagnosed with IBS. But that didn’t matter. I wanted to celebrate this cool town that was built by our founding immigrants and support them. So I decided to go to this ice cream shoppe (I like to spell things the old fashioned way out of respect for the town. It’s all looking like that.)
I finally got my ice cream and it was terribly creamy (in a good way) and the service was bad. And I have to admit, my chocolate shack (what I call my butt) couldn’t handle it and I had to make in the ostrich world porta potty. It was a bad day for me but it was still a great trip overall. Happy fourth.

Extremely rude owner. Walked in and was met with her ignoring us. Too busy cleaning her counter and ignored us for minutes before even saying anything to us. Gave us a rude "are you guys ready?" And didn't offer to try anything. Instantly left and took our business elsewhere. Lady needs to learn how to treat customers

There is a large ad for free samples; however the older woman working there was very rude mannered and seemed especially upset at being asked for a sample, despite the ad…I almost thought maybe the ad was for another shop next door or something. Two in our party decided not to get ice cream or a cookie box we were already set on due to the rude attitude
