These bagels are delightful and they pack them FULL. I had to deconstruct parts of this just to fit it in my mouth. I love that they have a pumpernickel bagel with everything seasoning. They also do a seasonal cream cheese (this one is green garlic and herbs). The atmosphere is clean & modern and they have both inside & outside seating. However, my bagel did cost over $16 ($20 with tip).

Best tasting bagels in the Bay. I lived around the corner years ago and would walk with my daughter to grab breakfast here. Years later, and living in a totally different city, we still come here for bagels. Always friendly and always delicious. My daughter has been getting the pizza melt bagel since she was a younger kid. Now, 16, she still gets the same order, lol

Holy crap I don’t know why this place isn’t more on the map within Berkeley. The bagels are delicious the options well minuscule are fantastic and boy oh boy do they have a list for different kinds of breakfast bagels or lox bagels and all for pretty much under $20 within every single item for bagels. I would take this in a heartbeat. If you haven’t gone here I would recommend coming here!

This to me is the best place to get a bagel, but I think this is the first and last time I’m gonna get a salad. They said it was made today! Second pic was after I dived deeper. Quite disappointed. There was no “use by” info so I was trusting what they said. Maybe they made the salad today, but that lettuce was in bad shape And should not have been used !

My family has been coming here for generations now, my grandpa went when it was brothers bagels, my mom went when it was boogie woogie bagel boy, and now I go while it's Berkeley bagel. They have really legit traditional style boiled bagels, all the food quality is excellent and they are very kind people. Highly recommend if you are from the East Coast and you are craving a classic boiled bagel.

I have been coming here since I can first remember when it was under the name boogie bagels. Let me just say they have never dissapointed. The bagels are absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked, and with a great assortment of flavors. And the one thing they never lack on is the cream cheese. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

Since the owner replied that they have no record of me coming in, thought I’d help by posting my bank transaction. This seems to be a trend of the shop for posts they don’t like. Instead of being so defensive work on the receipt. Most of the negative feedback is on the taste and texture of the bagel. I believe my review was very fair.

Went back for a second time to see if I was wrong about their bagel quality since the owner blamed me for not toasting the bagel. I’ve always been taught that you don’t toast a fresh bagel but hey could just be preference. Anyways unfortunately for me I was right. The bagels TO ME are not good. I got a breakfast sandwich and toasted the bagel and I’m just not a fan of the bagel quality. They’re very dense. I went at 6am so I’m assuming they were at their freshest. The person who welcomed me who I assume is the owner was very nice and welcoming. Price point was fair. I wanted to buy a Diet Coke but all the bottles were expired in September.
