Let me just start by saying, I am the most understandable person. However if I could give him no stars I would. I am extremely upset with Dr. Reznick and his way of practice. I have no idea how he is still a doctor. I also feel bad for anyone else who has gone through what I have experienced. I was referred over to Dr. Reznick after months of pain and suffering. After waiting months and months to finally get into this place. No tests were given to me to see what was happening. First thing he did was schedule a colonoscopy without getting me out of a flare. We did the colonoscopy another two months later (no other tests beforehand) once he got the “results” back he then goes on to apologize that I have been diagnosed with UC (ulcerative colitis). I accepted the news and listened to what he had to say. In my mind I thought (there’s no reason to question his diagnosis) he starts me on prednisone and other medications that treat UC, which if anyone has been on prednisone they understand how horrible it is. I would say I was on this for months! At least 3! Went back and he realized nothing was working. Instead of doing any type of test (such as blood work, stool samples, CT scans) he prescribes me humira. Never heard of it, once he explained the side effects I began to second think using it. I was scared. He made it seem like that was my last resort and I was worried. After switching to another doctor to get a second opinion (after many more months of suffering) I was finally given the proper test and medications before getting another colonoscopy. Turned out I never had UC I had a bacteria that could have been cured by a simple ANTIBIOTIC! After thousands of dollars in medical bills. I am finally back to normal. No thanks to this doctor. My opinion, don’t see him, go somewhere else and if you’re experiencing symptoms that are very similar to Ulcerative Colitis, please please please make sure your doctor is running the proper tests. Stool sample, blood work etc. I suffered for so long, I would hate for anyone else to go through what I’ve experienced.
