Delicious bananita chocomil ($9). Vegan empanadas ($6.95). I recommend the "beef" and onion over the spinach mushroom for a flavorful filling. The dough was a little thin and soggy, but I understand they are from an empanada shop off-site. Espresso was the most affordable item ($3) and good. Unfortunately, none of the chocolate bars or drinking chocolate are in my budget ($11.99-17.99++). Quick and friendly service. No wifi and no electrical outlets, so THIS IS NOT A WORK CAFÉ. Just making that clear for people like me that might be considering winging it on a deadline. My bad. If you wanted an espresso and a fancy treat, it would be a good spot. Some things were higher price than I expected, so I think I viewed an older menu.

On the recommendation of my daughter I stopped by and what a great choice. Excellent customer service. The barista asked me a couple of questions and then suggested the Damiana Cardamom. Such rich vibrant flavors. I ended up buying two different ceremonial cacao as well. I will be back.

In a nutshell; neat cafe with numerous products/treats for sale.

Parking can be tricky but if you're ever strolling by the area , this cafe can be neat to try. There's a number of indoor and a few tables out for dining. Not the biggest menu but what they certainly offer can be unique and the empanadas are quite delicious. There seemed to just be one employee at the time and she was able to provide service really well and the order didn't take long at all. Overall ok place to check out and try out.

Love the vibes here, the staff is so friendly! And they are happy to help with recommended items based on your preferences! I've visited a few times, I tried their Kratom Margarita, the taste is pretty unique- I'd describe it like a smokey orange peel. The energy is exactly what I needed, it is strong but there's no crash! I tried their mushroom coffee, also a unique taste- supposed to be better for you than coffee buuuuut, I don't know, I love my coffee! I also tried the latte, that wasn't as uniquely tasting, but still good! They have lots of vegan treats and oh so much chocolate! I didn't get any bars or assortments yet! Come check them out, see what sort of things you find here!

Café Xocolatl in Midtown Sacramento is my new favorite spot! This trendy and healthy café is a gem, offering a refreshing and delightful experience. Evan, the manager, is simply amazing and took excellent care of us, ensuring we had a wonderful time.

I had the mint shake and the tamale, and both were absolutely delicious! The mint shake was incredibly tasty without being overloaded with sugar – a perfect balance of refreshing minty goodness. The tamale was fresh and bursting with flavor, and the house sauce elevated it to a whole new level.

The ambiance is vibrant and welcoming, making it an ideal place to relax and enjoy a healthy meal. I love this place and will definitely be back soon. If you're in Midtown Sacramento, make sure to visit Café Xocolatl – you won't be disappointed!

I have never seen a bigger chocolate selection! Their plant based menu will not disappoint. I finally found a DF/vegan croissant 😍😍 There's also a great tea selection including from the local tea somellier Classy Hippie! I wish I took a picture of the potato soyrizo empanada, loved the presentation. No plastic to go containers, this place checks all my boxes!

Adorable little cafe! Small but very cozy and welcoming space with a few tables. The young lady who was working there yesterday morning (Feb 17) was wonderful. Highly recommend stopping by here if you're in the area.

In the area to #FiXProp19 to Save Truly Affordable Homes and small businesses needed a conversation and eating spot with volunteers. This place had the most chocolaty hot cocoa. Their openface sandwich with nut butter was great! Though I might take to go. So good I finished on location. So did another volunteer! Yes... that good!
