I ordered here with high expectations, I always heard they were amazing but at the end I left rather unsatisfied. The cookies at Cookie Cruz are nowhere near bad. However, they felt rather bland, the chocolate chip was a basic chocolate chip, the confetti was a dry sugar cookie and the Oreo felt bland. I did enjoy the snickerdoodle a lot though, the smores bomb was also quite delicious. At the end, it didn’t really satisfy my sweet tooth,.. and for $35 dollars?! Mediocre, unfortunately.

Very Badly Brunt Crust!! I ordered the triple berry crumble and when I tasted it, I thought something was wrong with the berries so I called and was told to try and get a refund through Door Dash. After hanging up I realized the odd taste was actually due to a burnt crust so I phoned again and the same person answered. I told him the crust was burnt. He said he looked at some of the ones in the store and that he didn't see any burnt ones. I took pictures and intend to visit the store and indeed let them know the crust was burnt- very burnt. I absolutely don't understand why that batch wasn't discarded. Will NOT order there ever again.

I use to be a huge fan of Cookie Cruz. I don't know what happened. My fiancée ordered two cookie bombs on doordash for delivery not long ago, one fruity pebbles and one cinnamon toast bomb. I should point out this is a order we've ordered many times in the past and we are usually very happy with it. Normally a cookie "bomb" would come with two cookies stacked on top of each other with frosting and a topping. But sadly when we opened our boxes we found just one cookie in each instead of the normal two. But the reason I made this review is because the cinnamon toast bomb wasn't baked at all! It was just raw cookie dough with a messy scoop of frosting. We were super disappointed. We use to recommend this spot to friends and family but after spending $22 for two cookies that weren't at the very least baked fully we wont be recommending anymore. If you're craving a cookie or sweet treat go check out pacific cookie company downtown! They at least wont try to make ya sick with raw dough.

I don't understand what's wrong with this store I've tried a dozen times to order palmiers and they are always out and I added in the notes if they are out please switch with chocolate crossiant and I got a half baked mess not even edible. Completely wasted 30 bucks. This place doesn't cook their food all the way 😒

Yet another Santa Cruz classic that has fallen from grace. Used to be an affordable, friendly local service that I was happy to support. Not only did they stop letting you place orders if not through doordash, now all the points I had developed after years of support have no use. I tried to work around the exorbitant doordash fees and call them, but the employee was rude over the phone, telling me to "just place the order online". Huge bummer as this used to be one of my favorite food providers in the santa cruz area. The food is still the same, but everything else that made this place special is seemingly missing.

I show up 1 hr 15 mins after, the person shows up says they know NOTHING about it only to find out they never checked their order system. When asked why that happened they told us to NEVER use their app but to order on Uber which is TWICE the price!

Loved this place. Cookies are great, and their other snacks were always a good compliment too. Unfortunately they stopped offering most of the other snacks, and they swapped over to 100% Door Dash for delivery. The second part is the bad part. I used to order all the time through their mobile app. You got to build up reward points for some free cookies occasionally and feel like you were supporting a local business. By swapping over to door dash the prices get raised a crazy amount, as an example, two dozen cookies used to be $26, and now on door dash they are $39. I'm genuinely saddened that they felt the best course of action for their business was to go to DD. I guess they did what they felt they had to do, but it's still very unfortunate, and I don't think they realize how many people don't use DD or Grub hub because of the poor business practices of those companies and the huge price increases that are incurred by using them. I wish this all wasn't the case, but I'll have to find another way to indulge in my late night sweet tooth.
