I had the absolute pleasure of visiting Cruz Creamery in Santa Cruz, and I must say, the experience was elevated to an entirely new level thanks to Mary. From the moment I walked in, Mary greeted me with a warm, genuine smile that instantly made me feel welcome. Her positive energy was infectious, and it was clear that she takes immense pride in providing top-tier customer service.

What stood out most was her attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond to ensure I had the best experience possible. She took the time to patiently explain the different flavors, offered thoughtful recommendations based on my preferences, and even let me sample a few options before I made my final decision. I truly appreciated how she made me feel like a valued customer rather than just another order in line.

Mary’s knowledge of the menu and her passion for her job were evident in every interaction. She was attentive, efficient, and incredibly friendly throughout my visit, making sure that I had a great experience. In a world where good customer service can sometimes feel rare, Mary truly stands out as a shining example of what exceptional service looks like.

The first red flag was that the ice cream shop across the street had a really long line.

And this one was completely empty on a Saturday.

There was only one employee who seemed really checked out. Probably underpaid. Kind of felt bad for the guy. The toppings at the self-serve bar were all stale. Pretty sure this is the first time I've gotten self-serve tasted the toppings and then thrown on the ice cream away.

I talked directly to the worker and ask if the toppings were old and if there was a way I could just get a replacement item and he just kept repeating the word no over and over again.

The communication skill set was pretty poor. And not worth fighting over a $10 ice cream. So I just threw it away and quietly left.

They have 4 rotating VEGAN ice cream options! Today I tried the Thai tea vegan ice cream and it was soooooo good! I forgot to take a picture but knew immediately I had to leave a review. Bonus they have comfy couches for seating.

♥️ Popular ice cream flavors: honey lavender, honey rosemary, Thai tea, caramel macchiato, Turkish coffee. Yogurt bar with so many toppings. 😋Very friendly staff. Our family always stop by when in the area.

Currently Ice Cream hopping for a Year Anniversary, our first stop : Cruz Creamery. Handful of ice cream options, also yogurt and toppings. I went with my stable, Cookies and Cream. It was good, but nothing special. My SO got a fudge sundae and enjoyed it was well - enormous! I got to share with him.

Service was amazing though.

Unique flavors, Ice cream made in house and you can absolutely taste the flavors of the ingredients listed. The passion fruit tasted strongly of real fruit. Pistachio, basil were great too! Very kind owners were happy to let you try any of the flavors.

They had tons of different flavors of ice cream as well as froyo. There were a lot of toppings for the froyo. It was a very cute place inside. They kept it very clean.
The prices were a little high but average for what today's prices are. Everybody enjoyed what they got. There were homeless around the building, which made it kind of sketchy, and the parking was very difficult, but it was definitely a great ice cream shop.

Great service and a very unique selection of ice cream flavors!
I highly recommend trying out the spaghetti ice cream. Absolutely delightful!
