Avoid This Place – Terrible Service & Management!

I can’t believe how bad my experience was at the DOCO Häagen-Dazs, and I feel compelled to warn everyone to steer clear of this place. I’ve been to plenty of ice cream shops, but this one takes the cake in terms of awful service and poor management.

Let’s start with the general manager, Ed Delpassand. This guy is a disaster. Not only does he treat his employees like they’re beneath him, but he’s also incredibly rude to customers. It’s clear that he has no business running a store if he can’t even treat people with basic respect. I watched him belittle staff members in front of customers – it was honestly painful to witness. How can you expect your team to do their best when they’re constantly being put down?

And then there’s the lack of staff. The place is so understaffed, it’s ridiculous. I had to wait forever to even be acknowledged, and when I finally got my order, it was wrong. The poor young employees are clearly overworked and overwhelmed, which is probably why they’re so disinterested and unfriendly. One of the employees, Jessica, was especially rude, acting like it was a huge inconvenience for me to ask for a simple change to my order.

The whole vibe of this location is just off – no one seems happy to be there, and it's clear that the management, starting with Ed, has a lot to do with that. The whole experience was incredibly disappointing, and I won’t be coming back. If you want good ice cream and decent service, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. This place is a joke.

I do not come here often anymore. Ordered a sundae this week, looked fine. Tasted the fruit, almost threw up. This isn’t the first time Haagen has served old fruit, I’ve seen fruit flies in their kitchen and dead bugs in their ice cream cabinets. Very unsanitary do not recommend

The ice cream is pretty good. Good quality, what you would expect from Hasgen-Dazs.

But it’s $$$. We paid over $20 for 3 “mini” scoops of ice cream. Basically 3 single scoops. And when I asked for an extra cup so I could split a scoop for the kids… they wanted to charge me another $1 just for a cup.

Always a good selection of ice cream. How can you go wrong with Haagen Dazs. The flavors all taste good. Try a sample of any flavor you like.

My son and I just stopped in for some ice cream after lunch. The young lady who helped me was really nice. She asked if I wanted to sample any of the ice creams before buying? I told her yes, thank you for asking since this was my first time there. I got 1 scoop of Dolce de leche, and my son got the same. It's kinda pricey because it was 14 dollars and some change for 2 scoops of ice cream, but it was good. I would definitely go back because the customer service was great.

Giving 2 stars for 3 reasons,
1) quality if ice cream is not as good as we get in similar shops in Europe.
2)Owner refuses to mix double flavors in mini cup, basically forcing customers to buy more! This is usually a deal breaker for our kids, who watch amounts of sugar consumption, yet when they want to try multiple flavors.
3) Price is way too high for low quality, and disallowed flavor selections.
