I loved the addition of cherry , plum … jam and sauces to the dishes. Well balanced flavors with high end ingredients. Pricey but worth it for quality and quantity.

I just love everything about this place - just like I live everything about Amba and Zhug, especially the mood setting lights. I was at Van aken and the moment I found that Kiln was in the area, me and my husband knew our anniversary celebration spot. The cocktails were at par and super tasty. The Ricotta dumplings stood out as suggested by other google reviewers. The portion size was phenomenal and would suggest serving breads as an option with Hummus. Hummus was so fresh and creamy! Loved every bit of it.

Its a very warm atmosphere type of restaurant. Very typical Doug Katz style of restaurant - sharable plates. Everything we tried was really good, some things are better than others, but overall everything was very good. One standout is from their desserts - baked alaska was outstanding.

Feels like Fire is back! Doug Katz goes back to the roots with this one and yet serves a fresh menu (with several vegan and vegetarian options). We had a really good meal, the space is cool and gives off definite Fire vibes in the best way, without it ever feeling unoriginal. Great drinks. Our server was good as well. I can’t wait for them to start brunch!

Another amazing dining experience from Chef Katz! The staff is so friendly. The environment is so relaxing and elegant without being stuffy. And the food is amazing! Come prepared to share dishes around the table.

Service and food were excellent. We definitely recommend making a reservation as we previously attempted to go on a weekend at 6:30 and there was a 3 hour wait. We came back today with a reservation and it was perfect. Food was amazing and we enjoyed everything. My favorite was the arctic char and popovers, but my husband really liked the braised lamb shank. However, I really don’t think you could go wrong with anything you order.

Absolutely amazing. My favorites were the Popovers and the Mushroom Tarlets … I am not even a mushroom person.
I loved that they had Baked Alaska for dessert!!

Much like it's sister restaurants , Kiln is great in re-imagining dishes. The portions are good size for sharing and munching.
The ricotta dumplings were special and good. The mushroom turtles were more expected but good nevertheless. The stuffed cabbage was very interesting.
The poached calamari salad was reported to be very good and interesting, and so was the chocolate ganache.
The atmosphere is homey, bright, unlike Amba that is more vibrant, dark and noisy.
