We wanted to try a Coachella Valley favorite- the date shake.
We came across Lappert’s and decided to give them a try.
The store has a fun vibe to it. The gentleman working was very friendly and helpful. It looks like they have a very broad and creative menu, and can make just about anything that one could imagine. My husband ordered the date shake and I opted for the small cup with 2 generous scoops.
The standard cookies and cream was probably the best version I have ever had. It appears as they make all of their ice cream themselves.
For my other scoop I tried the Navels and ganach. What I really liked was that it was an orange ice cream and not a sorbet.
It tasted like one of the boxed chocolate flavors.
I would say the real winner here was the date shake. It has a very unique flavor, but not too strong. They used date ice cream and vanilla ice cream.
I would definitely recommend Lappert’s!!

We went here as a treat for our 4 and 6 year old after getting family pictures taken. We got ice cream which tasted delicious and our kids both got a small sno-cone, but those smalls were seriously enormous. We could have split one as grown adults. Highly recommend

True that this is a premium product for a premium price but it is worth the penny you spend. Very creamy and rich in taste. A lot of flavors and the staff is very nice. You get two flavors even in the small size. The ambiance is nice and reflects its culture. Ample sitting spots and free parking available on the premises.

So nice we had it twice!
We had our first Lappert's experience at the Lahaina Maui location which, as of this writing, is unfortunately no longer there, but this location was very similar in a lot of ways. The quality of the infamous Dole Whip was spot on and I actually think there may have been more of a variety of ice cream flavors and thus combinations at this location.
There is limited seating inside and outside but they do have some misters over the seats the the shade of the building to provide some relief on hot days.
The staff was wonderful and very helpful in offering suggestions and skillful in preparing our treats.
It was a great experience, and who knows, we may hit them up again before we leave the desert! 😉🍦🍍🍉

My family loves Lappert’s ice cream! We go all the time. Angela is the sweetest ice cream lady ever. She is always making sure my kids are happy from getting them an extra umbrella for their ice cream to letting them try new flavors. My kids love love the cookie Monster ice cream.
