The Depot has an assortment of shops, eateries, and bar areas. We visited primarily for Nova Terra’s vegan/vegetarian offerings. The menu is incredible, with a wide selection for all kinds of tastes and occasions. The cooler inside the street-facing Depot shop even has grab-and-go options for picnicking or a quick meal. For our dine-in dinner, we sat on the patio and had two starters (Bao Buns and Cheese Plate) and split a main (Pulled BBQ sandwich) while a live band played. Everything was fresh and flavorful, and the chef even came out to tell us more about the food. Having a dedicated vegan chef makes a huge difference; we were blown away by the quality of the food.

Lovingly crafted plant-based dishes with nuanced flavors. Some of the best plant-based food in the greater Bay Area, as far as I’m concerned! Super kind and attentive staff. Super kind and talented owners. The dining patio is lovely!

Absolutely delicious! Perfect spot for a nice lunch or dinner date. We had the bao buns, the pulled BBQ pizza, and the fish and chips and everything was amazing, some of the most delicious food I’ve had from a vegan place in a long time. We also grabbed some of the vegan brie from the cafe area to take home and it was also amazing.

Efficient and friendly service with a coffee and tea bar, croissant bakery items, hot food menu including pizzas and pasta, cold prepared deli items to-go such as potato salad and Prime Roots vegan ham and turkey slices. Loved the vegan almond latte macarons. Plenty of other marketplace items on the shelves like wine and olive oil, and the best artisan vegan cheese made by the restaurant owner. Take some home for your plant-based charcuterie board. Cute outdoor seating available. Located inside Calistoga Depot shared historic building. Free parking nearby.

Weird experience. After finally finding the place after driving up and down the street twice, we were ready to order. The nice lady at the Cafe asked if the order was to go or at the property. We decided to eat there, so she said go find a place to sit and someone will be around to take our order. They had train cars you can sit in so we decided to sit in the first car. It was decorated with fish and was sea themed. We were provided three different menus and we chose the Nova Terra one. I ordered the bbq sandwich and my husband ordered the crab cake sandwich. My meal was good, however my husband said after he ate, it upset his stomach and just doesn't sit well so we were not sure what may have caused the discomfort. For two sandwiches, fries, and 2 teas it was a little over $50, which I find a bit expensive. We are not from Calistoga, so we will not be back but the experience was something we won't forget.

This place is definitely a place to be. The food is excellent, the service is so great, and the atmosphere is a 10 out of 10. Along with all of those things, I got to meet the owners! They’re some of the most kind and heart warming people. Terri is so welcoming with her hospitality and Brook is a rock star with his creative menu. The Open Faced Meatloaf sandwich and the Crab Cake sandwich are definitely some of the best foods I've ever had. As a vegan, this place has my heart. They’re definitely serving their community well, and opening the minds to those new to a vegan lifestyle. If you choose to go out and spend your money on food and service, definitely choose here. You won’t be sorry!!

Nova Terra’s new location in Calistoga is amazing!! The food was fantastic. We had the meatloaf and pulled barbecue sandwich. The atmosphere and food were spot on. You can tell that the owners take a lot of pride in what they do. I would highly recommend even if you’re not vegan.
Almost forgot the cheese board- best plant-based cheese I’ve ever tried.

This place is a gem! So refreshing to find artfully crafted, scrumptious vegan food in this area! The Spring Grain Bowl and the breakfast burrito are tied for my absolute favorites! So delicious! The frittata was also amazing - be sure to stop by for brunch! I'm generally a fan of more healthy and unprocessed food so finding menu items that were plant-forward was very exciting. The ambiance both indoors and outdoors is uber-cool and a great place to show off to friends or family in town visiting! And the cherry on top is that the owner Terri is just lovely!
