We enjoyed one of the best meals we have had in a long time at Oceana Restaurant! We started with amazing margaritas and the garlic bread side which was garlicky and soft (an order has about 8 pieces-more than enough for two people). We also had the Calamari Milanese which was served as a steak and fried to a crispy perfection. I had the Drunken Shrimp which I’ll be dreaming about for a while! My husband had the flat iron steak which he said was seasoned well and cooked to his desired temperature. The service was outstanding, too! We highly recommend Oceana.

Celebrated our 45 wedding anniversary dinner here. Oscar and team offered excellent recommendations for appetizers and main entree including their amazing dessert. Everything was so delicious. They were outstanding! Highly recommend you check them out.

Overview: higher scale... not really a jeans/t-shirt/tennis shoes place.  Sort of on the intimate sidw.

Meal/Time: Dinner/Saturday 515PM

Decor/Atmosphere:  look for the octopus in different places

Service/ Front of the House: greeted and seated quickly.  Friendly interaction.

Service/Serving Staff:  Staff is EXTREMELY service oriented.  Stopped regularly to check on us.  Constantly refilling our water.  Food runner really personable.  Found this to be truly enjoyable meal.  Our server was Gina and she was amazing.

Food:

Lobster bisque is really lobstery.  Actual lobster chunks

Octopus is soooo tender...you do not need a knife.  The octopus is grilled so you can taste the smokiness.

Salmon brochette... good size portion of salmon over a bed risotto.  Loved the salmon...cooked perfectly.  The risotto was good, but the shaved parmesan was a little too thick for my liking.

***note my friend ordered the fried red snapper... its A WHOLE fish....huge... could be shared by 3 people. It was really good though.   Watch out for bones.

Value: about $75 per person with not alcohol.  A little pricey but the quality is there.

Restroom: men's room has 2 undivided urinals and a stall and single sink.  Trash can needed emptying.

Will I come back?: yes for the octopus for sure.

Ok Service is once again outstanding. Nothing changed from my first review.

Just want add some new dishes I tried tonight.

The Lobster Guacamole- citrusy Guacamole topped with what taste like flashes fried lobster pieces tossed in a slightly spicy sauce. Very well balanced dish. The only complaint was, wishes I had more toasted bread to eat with
it.

Now dessert... the Carlota... OMG. Think tiramisu but much lighter and fruity. Sweet, slightly bitter from the orange zest and a bit of tartness from the orange pieces. Complex but amazingly simple.

One of the owner and chef spoke with us and told us his story of how the Carlota was put on the menu

I have to say that this restaurant is excellent. This was my third time there and it never disappoints. I've had the Flank Steak, Drunken Shrimp and the Filet Minon. My friend had their special last night which was a pasta with seafood and the flavors were on point. My sister had the Ahi Nachos and they were delicious. Everyone is so nice and welcoming. Definitely one of my favorite spots 🙂

This is a dainty restaurant with a nice ambience. Our server was friendly and professional. We ordered their red snapper, which was good. Their garlic bread was soft, warm, and yummy. And, the Chipotle Shrimp had a nice kick to it. However, the Spanish octopus was tender but ULTRA salty. And, their Hibiscus Margarita was different but not too flavorful. Nonetheless, we enjoyed the food with an exception of one or two dishes. And mind you, there was a whopping 20% service charge added to our bill!!

I thought this is one of the best seafood restaurant I've ever eaten at. Compared to other more well known seafood restaurants, I would say the food is better than all of them. The location is in a typical strip mall which probably turns some people off, but don't let that persuade you. I had the 7 Oceanas which is like tomato soup and it was great with a very large portion. It's a tad bit spicy. The coconut flan for dessert was also great. Two bags thumbs up.
