Simply the best. We get banana splits here all the time. They are delicious! Even better than the ice cream is the chocolate. I get the dark chocolate covered peanuts and the house-made “snickers” bar. And the cookies are delicious too! I buy gifts from here too. It’s quality and kind staff make it a pleasure to visit. More people should know about it. What a hidden gem.

My family has been going to this shop for over 50 years. While I live in Colorado, I have been going to this shop since I was born 20 years ago at least once a year whenever I am in town to see family. I am the third generation to shop here and it is the biggest highlight of my year whenever I visit. My cousin even worked here for a bit a few years ago! Preston's has been the #1 thing I have looked forward too every year for as long as I can remember! No chocolate or candy shop I have ever gone to has even compared to Preston's. They have, by far, the best chocolate I have ever had in my entire life! My family was friends with the previous owner and the current owner has kept up the quality! This is in the top 3 places I would recommend in all of California! I cannot sing my praises enough!

Grabbed some ice cream here while waiting to buy a car. Did not disappoint! I’m not sure if they make it in house, but it was good! The lady working here was extra nice too, so we chatted for a little bit. I’d come back again if I was in the area.

I really like what Javier has done with the shop. He’s kept the old favorites but added several exciting new items, more sophisticated than what they had. The truffles are on par with Recchuiti in San Francisco. A must visit shop.

FYI they are scooping Mitchell's, not housemade. The signage all makes it look like it's their own housemade ice cream, which is weird because Mitchell's is pretty well-respected.

There are a couple tables and chairs outside, none inside.

It never fails, whenever I drop by Preston's to cure my sweet tooth, I never want to leave. Something about being surrounded by the aroma of fresh, in-house baked chocolately treats is certainly hypnotic!
The gummies, taffys and ice creams are so colorful and pleasing to the eye it makes me feel like a kid again in a candy wonderland!
Needless to say, if you have a craving for sugar, get your fix at Preston's Ice Cream and Candies in Burlingame!

They have a huge assortment of Peanut Brittles, Barks and Caramel/Chocolate gift sets for X-mas. & Their Ice Creams are so soft and flavorful..

The candy here is made in-house, and it's all delicious! I attended a tour where the owner took us back for tastings and an overview of the candy making process. The marshmallow based candy is some of my favorite, but there's always new candy types coming out for each holiday and season. Hershey's and other big companies can't compare to a small team that really cares about their products!
