This deli is a Sarasota institution. I have been a patron for years. The entire staff is courteous. I appreciate their pasta salads. They are among my favorites in town. Additionally, the coconut cake is exquisite. I encourage support for this Sarasota small business.

Being from Philadelphia, I know what a real hoagie/sandwich is this place is far from it. This was my first time here I ordered an all American sub which is ham, salami, and baloney and American cheese. What I received was a very thick role with turkey salami, and some nasty cheddar cheese on it with mayo, lettuce, tomato, and pickles, even though my slip said all American, it was not When I arrived. I pulled up to the window to retrieve my order. I sat there for five minutes as people walked by not asking me if I needed help or if they would be right back I finally had a man come up to the window and I said I’m picking up my order and he said, but I couldn’t hear him because he spoke so quietly so then I gave him my name as he looked annoyed and grabbed my food which obviously he never quality controls to check anything I would say if you seriously want a great sandwich for about half the price go to Detwiler‘s farmers market and get their Hank special which is an all American the right way it’s supposed to be made and it’s 1000 times better

Nice little place in Sarasota. You order at the counter, and they bring your food out to your table. It was a fast meal and yet very good. They have a large selection of gelato. I had one dip split into 2 flavors. I thought it was very good.
You can choose to eat inside, or they have a few tables on the sidewalk to sit at.
The dining area was bright from the natural sunlight. It wasn't too loud inside the building.
We had a very nice time there.

Southside Deli provided a wonderful catered lunch for our office. The food was fantastic! Sandwich platter selections were delightfully varied, all breads were very fresh! Ingredients tasty and fresh. Awesome chicken salad recipe! Excellent homemade potato salad. Spanish Salad was better than the one that another local establishment is famous for! Brownies definitely hit the sweet spot! Great food and friendly service, you can't go wrong at Southside Deli!

Well worth the hour drive from my house ! Incredibly friendly staff and amazing fresh food , the Apple Crisp is the best we have ever had! I wouldn’t normally drive two hour round trip for soup and a sandwich but Southside is the exception!

Southside Deli is a favorite in our family! My kids absolutely love the grilled chicken Caesar wrap, and it’s always their top pick whenever we visit or if I bring them lunch to school. As for me, I can’t get enough of the Southsider or their breakfast egg plate is awesome—perfectly cooked and filling to start the day right.

Whether you’re grabbing lunch or breakfast, Southside Deli always delivers on flavor and quality.

Highly recommend it for a great meal, every time!

Had a bad experience due to door dash. Called the shop and spoke with the owner. He immediately did everything he could do fix the issue and hand delivered me a new sandwich! Great customer service and ended up being great food. Will order directly through them next time
