Excellent bakery with delicious, beautifully produced pastries and cookies. Highly recommend the custard topped, strawberry jam filled pastry and the Ube croissant. The matcha cream filled pastry was a little overwhelmed by the sweetness and abundance of the topping, but if you have a sweet tooth like me, it's heaven. The flavor of the topping was still very good and it looked gorgeous! My husband was disappointed by the ham and cheese croissant and said he thought it could have used a little more filling.
If you are familiar with Bake Sum on Lakeshore, you will know what to expect in terms of flavors, textures and types of pastries available.
Parking can be tricky in this neighborhood but side streets are a good option.

This bakery has been on my wishlist for a while after I read about it. They do Asian inspired and flavored pastries, both savory and sweet. Of the two that I tried on this visit, the ginger pull apart danish was my favorite, it was the right amount of crunch on the outside and chewiness on the inside without being overwhelming. The other mochi muffin treat I tried I would pass on next time.

They run a promo of 5 pastries for $20 right before closing so if you want to sample a bunch come near the end of the day.

Super convenient and great location in the Rockridge area near lots of other popular shops.

Came to pickup Lunar New Year Pastry Boxes and then picked other goodies. Fantastic pastries and service was great with the solo person working that day on January 27th! Got help getting all the boxes to my car! Received rave reviews on these boxes!

Very cute bakery with innovative pastries. Loved the kimchee corn cheese croissant and the mixed berry croissant tart. Also notable is the ginger pull apart, milk tea blondie and the mochi muffins. If you go near closing time, they have a special going on which is any 5 pastries for $20.

Ordered the Lunar New Year pastry box for pick-up at their sister restaurant, Sunday Social. Really impressed with the quality and variety of sweets.

The box came with 8 pastries: a chestnut cruffin, nian gao New Year's cake, pineapple basque cake, dim sum cookie, strawberry eclair, char sui danish, spekkoek spiced pull apart, and matcha citrus tart.

Our favorites were the matcha citrus tart, char sui danish, and dim sum cookie though truly all pastries were delicious! Also great to know there's a place to grab cruffins with Mr. Holmes no longer in business.

Since the bakery is too far for me to visit in person, I really appreciated that they offered pick-up in the city. Will definitely be keeping an eye out for their other seasonal pastry boxes throughout the year.

One of THE CUTEST little bakeries in Oakland and a must visit in Rockridge! The staff is super attentive and friendly. The entire place is minimal yet aesthetically pleasing at the same time and there’s a lot of attention to detail whether it’s the packaging or the little white rabbit candy wrapper on the cookie, or the drink menu on the wall.

Found one of their cookies on my kitchen table. One of the best cookies I've had. 🍪 brown butter chocolate chip. Reminded me of childhood and would pair nicely with some cold milk.

Strawberry Pocky cruffin, Thai tea bun, ube, dim sum and white rabbit matcha cookies! Dim sum cookie taste like a Jin dui!
