The Atlas - Calistoga, California

The Atlas is a luxurious pied-à-terre tucked into a quiet residential neighborhood within walking distance of the tasting rooms, restaurants, and spas in downtown Calistoga. Imbued with a sophisticated, tranquil vibe, the cottages are thoughtfully designed and elegantly furnished. Every detail was curated with the discerning traveler in mind, including the artwork, the rugs, and the luxurious linens and robes. I especially loved reading by the fireplace in the oversized chaise lounge and drifting off to sleep in the incredibly comfortable cocoon of the king bed. The cottages feature fully stocked kitchenettes and private patios.

Back in November I had the pleasure of staying at the Atlas and it couldn't have been a more perfect destination for Thanksgiving. The room was large and so cozy. I immediately felt calm and comfortable, like I could move in for awhile and make myself right at home. I enjoyed turning on the fireplace each morning and making a delicious Nespresso coffee with the items supplied in the kitchen. The rooms have everything you need. We also got to check out the main house and I felt like I was in my dream home.

The location of the inn is great and just a short walk to the shops in Calistoga, and there are bikes you can use if you prefer to ride around and look at all of the houses. I'm already looking forward to the chance to visit again and bring friends!

We had a wonderful stay at the Atlas. Its location was perfectly centered in the sleepy town of Calistoga, close enough to walk to the downtown shops and restaurants, but just far enough to enjoy a bit of peace & serenity.

The space is beautifully appointed, and comes complete with the regular amenities you would expect ... and some you don't. There are (rather pristine) bikes available to use, with adorable wine boxes mounted above the rear tire. Perfect for carrying the wine you purchased at the Tank Garage Winery back to your cottage.

The hosts clearly care a great deal about the design details. For example, the shower is big and beautiful. The faucets and hardware throughout have a premium feel. The bed is extremely comfortable and the linens are high quality.

Lastly, the communication was great. We were able to check-in/out easily. We were given restaurant, hike and winery recommendations and there was even a dog bowl for our pup!

We are looking forward to our next trip 🙂

Looking for the perfect spot for a romantic getaway, girls weekend or a family reunion? Look no further than The Atlas Calistoga.
With its 3 cottages and beautiful outdoor seating areas you can't go wrong. I have stayed here numerous times and keep going back. The Cottages are extremely well appointed, the beds super comfortable and the property is gorgeous. We love hopping on the complimentary Atlas bikes and heading downtown for shopping or a meal, or grabbing the Atlas backpack and water bottles and heading out the door to hike on the Oat Hill MIne trail. There are hundreds of wineries to visit within a 15 mile radius and the owners are happy to put you in contact with the best drivers in the valley.

OH MY GOSH! Talk about above and beyond. This was the nicest Airbnb I've stayed in and it taught me how to improve my own Airbnb.
Everything was SO quality and it was so quiet and my friend stayed at a five star hotel but booked the same size as this and paid ten times the price but actually preferred this area (Calistoga) and also my suite. I am always happy to be home because I sleep better there but I actually slept better here and thought, I could actually happily live here. They were also incredibly thoughtful and kind. It was safe, walkable, very communicative and absolutely beautiful with the immediate feeling of relaxation and kindness when you walk inside.

I recently stayed at one of the Atlas cottages and would definitely stay there again! When it comes to comfort, amenities, and proximity to downtown Calistoga, this property has it all. My cottage included a king size bed, a small kitchen area, a good size bedroom and bathroom and a cozy outdoor patio.
The entire property (a main house and three cottages) also offers an inviting outdoor space where I could relax and wind down after a long day of wine tasting. The gardens are well manicured with a dedicated space to sit and enjoy morning coffee next to an outdoor fountain. There is ample parking, and if you have an electric vehicle there is an EV charging station.
This property is perfect for a family gathering or a romantic getaway and offers a wonderful stay in North Napa Valley!

We had an outstanding stay. The cottages are immaculate with lots of attention to little details. The location is just of the main street so everything is walkable and we enjoyed a lovely dinner at a local restaurant walking there and back. Also they provide cruiser bikes for riding around the area which is really pleasant. Very tastefully done.

The Atlas in Calistoga embodies everything you thought you wanted in a Wine Country Inn, and then blows it out of the water. The accommodations in the cottages are amazing, no detail has gone unnoticed. We found everything we needed and more! the rooms are beautifully appointed…and the sheets are to die for! The Altas’ location is perfect, walk or ride (they have bikes!) to downtown. The Atlas did not disappoint and we will be going back every time we visit the Valley!
