Cambria is such a charming little town so we were looking for an equally charming coffee shop and stopped into Hidden Kitchen. Turns out, it’s not that hidden and actually easy to locate and I just discovered that if you cannot find the spot in Cambria, they have another place in Cayucos. Eating here feels like you are part of the local scene and I love how each dish is made with a health first concept though they certainly don’t miss out on excellent taste. The decor is rustic, mostly outside seating and I plan to come here again as soon as we get back into the area. Don’t miss this gem.

I've never had better waffles! Pretty patio seating with lots of vines. I watched Anna's hummingbirds flit around during the whole meal. It's the kind of place where you just walk up and order outside, like a food truck. Best for small groups.

Casual patio seating, after you order at the "counter". We tried two different waffles. The Morro Melt was the most unusual and yummy combination of mostly savory with a little sweet and spicy (waffle, turkey, melted cheese, sauteed onions, avocado and arugula). Really enjoyed it.

My friend got the Weirdo Waffle which was mostly sweet with a little savory (waffle, banana, PB, syrup and bacon). Very good and peanuty. The staff were friendly even though we got there a bit before closing. Nice that everything is organic and gluten free. Their hours are limited though so go when you've got the chance if you want something you won't find elsewhere.

We were reccomended to try The Hidden Kitchen. We drive down to cayucos and the line was down the street, so i suggested we try the Cambria location.
We found parking and we walked in to a short line and were able to snag a seat and chow down.
The weirdo waffles were perfect, the San Luis sunrise had an amazing homemade sauce, and we got 2 smoothies that were thick and delicious.
I was clued in that if you can't find seating there is seating just around the corner in the historical museum area.
We would definitely go back but probably share a smoothie because they were so thick and filling.

This is the place for "Gluten Free" (not vegan because eggs are used in the waffle mix) breakfast. We ordered the bishop smoothie (includes coffee) along with the orange smoothie (includes bee pollen). The weirdo waffle and the fiscalini fruit waffle are what we ordered. The "weirdo waffle" has bacon. Overall, Delicious food, very friendly assertive staff, great environment.
