I went in to see Dr Guram but it was the worst mistake of my life. His front office staff are clueless and I had to ask to fill out new patient paperwork and if they needed my insurance cards to be told they only take one of them and had to pay out of pocket which was not disclosed to me upon making an appointment. My husband and I waited for over an hour to be finally greeted by the worst racist rude grumpy doctor I have ever seen and Ive seen many throughout my life. My husband who is "white" tried to lighten up the mood but the doctor got mad and told him basically to shut up. Once again, asked a question and completely dismissed my husband by saying that he is not talking to him. I was so stressed out, we walked in the middle of the appointment. This doctor has no bedside manners and shouldnt be practicing medecine, if you hate your job, it is time to RESIGN. Please AVOID this doctor at all costs.

I would NEVER recommend this doctor. His office staff are rude, disrespectful. I made my appointment and requested to see the doctor; show up for my appointment only to be seen by nurse practitioner. Had a procedure scheduled; unable to communicate with either doctors office or Tomball Hospital to know what time to arrive. Finally arrived, had procedure my son; he attempted to call my husband only to be told by doctors he couldn’t wait 15 seconds b/c he’s running behind schedule and doesn’t have time. What a poor of an excuse doctor, staff and hospital.

Full disclosure, I’ve never actually seen a Dr here. I did have an appointment. I called during business hours to cancel this appointment three days prior and I couldn’t get a hold of a person so I left a message cancelling. The day before the appointment I got an automated call reminding me of my appointment. I called the office again to cancel and again got voicemail. Once again, I left a message canceling my appointment. I assumed the appointment was canceled. I shouldn’t have assumed their office staff was competent. Two weeks later, I got a bill for a no-show. Again, I called during business hours and again I got voicemail. I explained in my third message now that I had canceled the appointment and I was not going to pay a no-show fee. About once a week or so now I still receive automated calls saying I owe them money.

The fact that I can’t get their office to even answer the phone and then they have a message service that they don’t check is more than enough for me to know I will never go to this office.

I wish I could give them 1000 stars!! I am a young healthy woman who has had difficulty swallowing for a few years. I have always been nervous to see a specialist because I didn't want to pay a bunch of money to be told to go home and take tums. They immediately took me seriously and scheduled an endoscopy right away. Within a month of my first appointment, I had a diagnosis and treatment plan. This will be an ongoing issue for me but I am so thankful to have Dr. Guram and his entire team with me on this journey!!

I highly recommend seeing them if you are having any gastrointestinal issues, they have been so kind, caring, and helpful!!!

Have been dealing with several Gastros throughout the Houston area for different opinions, this one was by far the worst. I have been trying to schedule a procedure with them for 4 months - still cant even get the receptionist/scheduler to return calls. Today they left me on hold and hung up without ever getting through. Not even going to try anymore with these people.

Dr. Guram is great but almost always late. Everyone, including staff complains about it but nothing seems to be done. Bad for first appointments because the rest are late, so it doesn't help to come early.
