Authentic Filipino bakery with a good selection. We tried the Bibingka, cheese rolls, and cheesecakes. Everything was excellent, tasty, and fresh out of the oven soft. The prices are fair and the service was fast and friendly. There was a long line that moved very quickly. Update: Got a 2 Bibingkas and 4 Coconut buns. They were both excellent!

Love their pandesal. this is a good place to buy all of the pastries too.
I bought pandesal in Orange Ave, Chula Vista. The next day, pandesal was hard. I had to use microwave. I think it depends on the baker. I hope they won’t change the recipe.

My recent experience with the Pandesal and Bibingka was a bit disappointing.
The Pandesal, though warm, deviated from the traditional recipe. The absence of bread crumbs altered the texture and taste, making it less authentic and enjoyable.

The Bibingka was even more perplexing. Its unusual texture, with a jelly-like interior and numerous bubbles, was far from the expected dense, moist cake.

It's unfortunate that these beloved Filipino treats didn't quite live up to expectations.

I have been coming to Valerios since I was in my childhood days!!! This place brings back so much great memories to this day! Their bakery is baked super fresh, super clean and super professional! Their bakery setup is very organized which is very insane! It’s an easy process and they’re really helpful if you have any questions regarding any bakery items. They’ll explain what is in the each bakery (ingredients used) and make sure it fits your dietary needs because for me personally, I can’t have anything too sugary, they found something that fit my bakery sweet tooth. My favorite bakery!

Whenever I’m in the area this spot is a must stop for me and I live in Julian. I’m a sucker for the cheese rolls and pan de sal. I usually get 2 bags of each.

Their product may taste good but their customer service is lacking.
Went in to order 2 containers of mini cheese ensaymada to be picked up next day. When I showed up, it was regular ensaymada, and only 9 pieces shoved in one big box. Woman at counter told me to take them since "I ordered the wrong thing" until I showed her the sticker I showed thebguy to order. She apologized and said to come back 2 days later. I get there today (3rd visit now) and they messed up my order AGAIN and only made one container. And then AGAIN she tried to give me things I didn't order, the ube ensaymada or the cheese balls. Honestly I just took them cause I'm tired of having to come back over and over and have them not get my order right, as if 2 containers of mini cheese ensaymada is the hardest thing ever 🙄

Update: Mark reached out with a solution to the issue, going further than above and beyond. He has a spectacular work ethic and you can see the pride he takes in his establishment. Will be doing business with him going forward.

Atè Raquel always gives great smiles with great service! This is the best bakery in NC. There is no other cheese roll worth your time. I'm positive that the secret to the deliciousness of their cheese roll is that they actually put a considerable amount of cream cheese in it.
No other bakery is as consistently generous with this particular filling while bread is light, fluffy and delicious.
The recent makeover helps Valerio's feel fun and lively.

Always fresh and tastes like the childhood of every Filipino kid.
Would highly recommend the hot and fresh pandesal as well as the cheese balls. They have upgraded a lot and did some renovation, gave the place a nice touch but stayed within the roots of Valerios that make them one of a kind.
